Made in America Festival 2018

In the fall of 2018, Polycade was invited to set up an activation at the Live Nation VIP tent at the Made in America Festival. The festival was headlined by Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone, and was held in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend.

Setting up at the Made in America Fest was an especially cool opportunity for us because we had been living in Philadelphia for the summer while at the Comcast Lift Labs startup accelerator. It was super fun to be able to show off all the new things we'd been working on.

Also headlining the concert was Philadelphia native Meek Mil, who is a Polycade owner. Other big names at the festival included Diplo, Zedd, Alessia Cara, Miguel, Pusha T, Fat Joe and Ty Dolla $ign. Our favorite performance of the night was by Janelle Monáe who put on a fantastic show.

D’USSÉ cognac, partially owned by Jay-Z (who also is a main producer of the festival), was the big sponsor at the VIP tent. Unfortunately, it took us til the end of day two to realize there was a full bar and we didn't have to drink cognac all afternoon and night.

Made in America was our first event with the V2 model of Polycade and the first time we used our custom interface. Safe to say, people were enjoying it!
